Steve's Testimony

"We had several miscarriages but it took me a long time to realize the impact of those losses on my wife and our marriage. We finally were able to attend a Rachel's Vineyard and it was the powerfully healing experience we both needed. The compassionate and supportive retreat team helped us share our experiences, work through the sessions, unburden our hearts, and draw closer to each other and to God." - Steve

Bernie's Testimony

Rachel‘s Vineyard is a powerful retreat that involves group sessions, as well as around the clock availability of six compassionate people willing to give private support.

I found that everyone’s commitment to confidentiality as comforting as a warm blanket laid across my shoulders on a chilly night.  It was like getting a hug from God.

The love flowed through me as my 5 senses where touched, helping me release long held grief that I had trap- doored  since the age of eight when my innocence was stolen by an uncle.  This release after sharing in a safe, comforting, & loving environment, brought me peace and freedom to be sensitive to the wounds of others.

No matter what the source of anyone’s grief, I highly recommend this retreat.

We are all in this together,

Love,

Bernie

Alizay's Testimony

Rachel’s Vineyard was amazing, I needed to put some things to rest from my past, my child who I did not respectfully say goodbye to.  I was able to name this child and give this child an identity in a group of people as all life is sacred and we are created in the image of God.  The staff/volunteers are amazing, wonderful and so understanding, it was so freeing to open up in a non judgmental and compassionate environment, and to learn that we all are struggling with things in our lives, and from our past, and that we are all in this together.  They worked very hard and were very attentive to each and every one of us which showed that they really cared sincerely.  I would recommend this retreat for everyone and anyone, it was a very enlightening experience that reminds me that we are all one human family and we must help each other, love conquers all and God does love us, none of us are perfect.

Reflections from the Support Team

I had been praying to God for help discerning which way to go in my life.  But who knew that God uses e-mail – and that it could end up in the spam folder.  When I did find the invitation to fill in for an opening on the Prayer Support Team at this week’s Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat, I was amazed.  It was not something I had even thought about doing.  I really did not know what to expect.  But I took a leap of faith and said yes.  It was an incredible experience that I believe has and will change my life.
